EU Responsible Person Pricing: From €249 a Year

The Starter service costs €249 per year for one accepted low-risk product family, with unlimited SKUs within each accepted family. Business costs €549 per year for up to 5 accepted low-risk product families, Growth €949 per year for up to 20, and Enterprise starts at €1,650 per year for more than 20 families, multiple brands or a wider catalogue. High-risk products and products subject to specific EU legislation are quoted separately.

The €249 Starter fee includes the Article 16 Responsible Person mandate for one accepted low-risk product family with unlimited SKUs within each accepted family, plus the core compliance checks. These are the initial product and manufacturer review, initial product risk review, initial technical documentation verification, an initial document gap check, one initial label/listing review per accepted family, 10-year document availability according to the agreed mandate, an annual compliance review, weekly Safety Gate monitoring, statutory authority liaison with one standard correspondence per contract year, Safety Business Gateway support where legally required, initial safety incident response and initial corrective-action coordination.

Yes. Initial technical-documentation verification and the initial document-gap check are included in the accepted Starter mandate. We check the documentation supplied by the manufacturer for each accepted product family and tell you which documents are missing. The same verification is included in every annual package. A deeper formal written audit is available as an optional €129 service, but it is not needed for this included verification.

Yes. An initial product risk review is included in the annual fee for every accepted product family. It is based on the documentation and product information you provide. The manufacturer remains responsible for the product’s own risk assessment and for product safety.

Yes. The initial label/listing review is included in the annual fee; there is no separate label-review fee. The package allowance is one review per accepted product family (1 for Starter, up to 5 for Business and up to 20 for Growth) one initial label, packaging and online-listing review for each accepted product family. If you need more accepted families than your package covers, you move up to the next package and the initial review for each newly accepted family is covered by that package price.

Yes. Every package includes unlimited SKUs within each accepted product family. Variants that differ only in colour or size are generally assessed within one family if they do not materially change the safety profile, so they do not increase the annual fee.

A product family generally consists of products that share the same intended use, materials, basic design, manufacturing method, safety characteristics and relevant regulatory scope. A different intended use, material, electrical characteristic, age group, risk profile or regulatory regime may require a separate family. Grouping is confirmed only after we have reviewed your product list.

No. The €129 Formal Technical Documentation Audit & Written Gap Report is an optional deeper written consulting service. The initial product risk review, technical-documentation verification and document-gap check needed for mandate acceptance are already included in the annual fee. The audit is not required merely to activate a standard Responsible Person mandate where the documentation supplied is sufficient for mandate acceptance.

Yes. Initial Responsible Person incident response within the agreed mandate is included. Legally required Safety Business Gateway support is included as well. Where applicable, this covers the initial safety issue assessment, manufacturer notification, statutory Responsible Person cooperation, initial authority liaison and initial corrective-action coordination. Only extended product recall project management beyond that scope is a separate service from €750 per project.

Yes, where legally required within the Responsible Person mandate. Support for the Safety Business Gateway notification workflow is part of the included mandate response for the accepted product family. The manufacturer remains responsible for providing accurate and complete information.

It is extended operational recall project work beyond the standard mandate and starts at €750 per project. This can include detailed incident investigation, recall project management, multi-country recall coordination, consumer communication planning, distributor and marketplace coordination, reverse-logistics and laboratory coordination. The mandatory Responsible Person actions within the agreed mandate are included in the annual fee and are not sold as a separate “recall package”.

No. Third-party costs are quoted separately. External laboratory, legal, translation, logistics, destruction/disposal and other third-party costs are not included in the €750 base price; €750 is the starting price for our own recall project management work.

Because products subject to specific EU legislation need a more extensive technical file, test reports and risk review. This applies to toys, electronics, childcare products, cosmetics, PPE, medical and otherwise specifically regulated products. The standard €249 package does not automatically apply to these categories; a product-specific quote is prepared after we review the documentation.

Then you move up to the next package. Business covers up to 5 accepted low-risk product families for €549 per year, Growth up to 20 for €949 per year, and more than 20 families is an individual Enterprise quote from €1,650 per year. Every product family is reviewed before it is accepted; materially different, high-risk or specifically regulated products are assessed separately. If you upgrade during the contract term, the difference is calculated pro rata for the remaining period.

Yes. Sellers on Amazon, Etsy, eBay, Shopify and their own webshops can appoint Grüner Baum GmbH as EU Responsible Person for accepted products. The included label/listing review covers the Responsible Person and product safety information shown on the online listing. Marketplace approval is decided by the marketplace and is not guaranteed by us.

Yes, with the EU + UK package. Grüner Baum GmbH acts as your EU Responsible Person, and our UK partner Lantara Ltd acts as your UK Responsible Person for Great Britain. The Starter tier costs £849 per year for one accepted low-risk product family, with unlimited SKUs and variants within that family. Larger catalogues with more product families or several brands are priced on request. Northern Ireland follows EU product safety rules and is covered by the EU Responsible Person side. Regulated or higher-risk categories are reviewed individually on the UK side and may be quoted separately.

No, not for every product. In Great Britain a UK Responsible Person is legally required for many regulated product categories, for example toys, electrical and electronic equipment, personal protective equipment and cosmetics, and marketplaces can ask for one when you list a product. For general consumer products it is not always a legal requirement, but it is recommended and often requested by marketplaces such as Amazon UK. Northern Ireland follows EU product safety rules, so the EU Responsible Person covers it. If you are not sure what applies to your products, send us your product list with your enquiry.

The EU mandate is signed with Grüner Baum GmbH (Germany, HRB 52165). The UK mandate is signed directly with Lantara Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 16961099, registered office 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA, www.lantara.co.uk). You get one package price, one coordinated onboarding and one point of contact: us. Grüner Baum GmbH handles the product and artwork due diligence; Lantara Ltd checks UK accuracy and acts as UK Responsible Person in Great Britain. The UK side typically takes 5 to 7 days from label review to sign-off.

Standard Responsible Person liaison is included: receipt and initial handling of authority communications, statutory cooperation within the agreed mandate and one standard authority correspondence per contract year. Only extended, time-intensive work (such as repeated authority correspondence, complex investigations or substantial evidence packages) is billed at €125 per hour, with your prior approval and on a time-logged basis. Within an active mandate, legally required minimum Responsible Person cooperation does not depend on purchasing extended support.

For accepted low-risk product families, standard activation takes 1 to 2 business days once your documents are complete. It is included in the annual fee at no extra charge. If you need it faster, the optional priority onboarding (€99 per company) is completed within 4 to 8 working hours once your documents are complete. Neither option guarantees mandate acceptance, and incomplete documents delay activation.

The service is based on an annual contract that renews each year. You can move up to a higher package during the term; the difference is calculated pro rata for the remaining period. Technical documentation is kept available for 10 years according to the agreed mandate.
