Etsy GPSR Compliance and EU Responsible Person Service
As of September 2026, Etsy provides separate fields for the manufacturer, economic operator and product safety information. Grüner Baum GmbH can act under a written authorised-representative mandate from Germany when that route fits the product and supply chain; we review the scope and safety records before acceptance.

Can Grüner Baum GmbH act as my Etsy EU Responsible Person?
Grüner Baum GmbH can accept a written authorised-representative mandate for defined products when that Article 16 route fits the manufacturer and supply chain. Acceptance follows a product-scope and document review; an EU importer or another responsible economic operator may already occupy the required role.
What GPSR information must an Etsy product page show?
A covered Etsy offer aimed at EU buyers must visibly provide the manufacturer's name or trade name with postal and electronic contact details. If the manufacturer is outside the EU, it must also show the name, postal address and electronic address of the responsible economic operator under Article 16. The offer must identify the product with a picture, type and another identifier and display applicable warnings or safety information in an understandable language.
How much does an Etsy EU Responsible Person service cost?
Grüner Baum GmbH's annual service starts at €249 plus VAT for one low-risk product family with unlimited SKUs. Product risk, special EU legislation, technical-document quality and portfolio scope can change the price; high-risk or specially regulated products receive an individual quote after review.
How do I add an economic operator and product safety information on Etsy?
On Etsy.com in a desktop or mobile browser, go to Shop Manager > Settings > Partners you work with > Add economic operator and save the operator's name, address and contact details. Etsy says this cannot currently be added or edited in the Seller App. Then complete the manufacturer and Product safety info fields for each affected listing; adding an operator in Etsy does not by itself prove that the product or mandate is compliant.
Do handmade, print-on-demand and digital Etsy products automatically avoid GPSR?
No blanket exemption follows from calling an item handmade, print-on-demand or digital. For each offer, determine the legal manufacturer, whether the item is a product within the GPSR or sector-specific EU rules, the risks and the correct EU-established Article 16 operator. A production partner is not automatically the manufacturer or Responsible Person.

What does Grüner Baum review before accepting an Etsy mandate?
Grüner Baum GmbH accepts an Etsy EU Responsible Person mandate only after checking the product scope, the manufacturer, the supply chain and the available safety records. The review determines whether an authorised-representative route is legally suitable and which products a written mandate can cover.

Acceptance is not automatic. Grüner Baum GmbH does not issue a GPSR certificate or guarantee Etsy, customs or authority approval; the manufacturer remains responsible for product safety and the accuracy of the records supplied.

After acceptance, you receive Grüner Baum GmbH's name, postal address and electronic address for products covered by the mandate, to use where legally required.
Add them to your Etsy shop
On Etsy.com in a browser, use Shop Manager > Settings > Partners you work with > Add economic operator. Then complete the manufacturer and Product safety info fields for each affected listing.
