Amazon GPSR Responsible Person Service by Grüner Baum
Grüner Baum GmbH provides a Germany-based EU Responsible Person service for suitable Amazon product portfolios. We first verify the manufacturer, Article 16 economic-operator route, product scope and safety records; after mandate acceptance, you receive the details needed for labels and Amazon's compliance fields.
Updated 1 September 2026: Amazon's public GPSR guidance and our mandate review scope were rechecked.
We are a registered service provider in the Amazon Solution Provider Network (SPN).
Does Amazon require GPSR compliance?
Yes. Amazon requires affected non-food products offered in its EU stores to meet its GPSR policy. The correct Article 16 economic operator depends on the manufacturer and supply chain: an EU manufacturer or importer may already fulfil the role; otherwise a written mandate with an EU authorised representative may be suitable.
What GPSR information should appear on an Amazon product page?
For an EU distance-sale offer, GPSR Article 19 requires the manufacturer's name or trade name and postal and electronic address; where the manufacturer is outside the EU, the EU Responsible Person's name and postal and electronic address; information identifying the product, including a picture, type and other identifier; and applicable warnings or safety information in a language consumers can easily understand.
How fast can I get an EU Responsible Person?
Onboarding speed depends on the product scope and the completeness of the risk assessment, technical records and labelling. Grüner Baum issues Responsible Person details only after the review is complete and the written mandate is accepted; incomplete or category-specific files require further work.
What GPSR information does Amazon ask for in Account Health?
Amazon identifies EU Responsible Person details, manufacturer contact information, and warning or safety PDFs or images — or an acknowledgement when that material is not required — for affected offers. The exact prompts can vary by account and product category, so follow the current Regulatory Compliance view in Seller Central.
Does Amazon SPN registration mean Amazon approves my products?
No. Grüner Baum GmbH is registered in the Amazon Solution Provider Network, but the SPN relationship does not mean Amazon approves a product, document or listing. Amazon applies its own platform checks, while authorities retain their legal powers.

What does Grüner Baum review before accepting an Amazon mandate?
Grüner Baum GmbH reviews the product, the manufacturer and the EU supply-chain role before accepting an Amazon GPSR Responsible Person mandate. The review establishes whether a written authorised-representative mandate is the appropriate Article 16 route and which ASINs or product families it can cover.
| What you provide | What we verify | What this determines |
|---|---|---|
| Seller, manufacturer and importer roles | The Amazon seller is not automatically the legal manufacturer, and an EU importer may already fulfil the Article 16 role. | Whether a separate written mandate with Grüner Baum is appropriate. |
| ASINs, SKUs and product families | Products grouped under one mandate must have a clearly defined scope and compatible safety profile. | The products, models and variants covered by the mandate. |
| Risk assessment and technical records | The records must support the product's safety, traceability and claims shown in the offer. | Document gaps that must be closed before acceptance. |
| Labels, packaging, warnings and languages | Physical information and Amazon's online safety fields must refer to the same product and target market. | The information required on the product, packaging and Amazon offer. |
| Seller Central compliance fields | Amazon can show account-, category- and store-specific fields for the Responsible Person, manufacturer and safety information. | The data set you enter and verify for each affected EU store. |
Acceptance is not automatic. Grüner Baum GmbH does not issue a GPSR certificate or guarantee Amazon approval, reactivation or ranking. The manufacturer remains responsible for product safety and for the accuracy of the records supplied.
How It Works
From product-scope check to an Amazon-ready Responsible Person data set in four steps.
Send your documents
Share your product list, test reports and technical documentation with us. We review them against the GPSR and tell you clearly what is missing, if anything.
Sign the mandate (LoA)
If the Article 16 route and documents are suitable, we prepare the written mandate appointing Grüner Baum as the authorised representative within the agreed product scope.
Receive your Responsible Person details
You receive the Responsible Person name, address and e-mail in Germany — ready for your product labels, packaging or accompanying documents.
Enter them in Seller Central
Add the accepted details to the compliance fields Amazon shows for each affected offer and EU store, then verify the result. Amazon retains its own review and listing decisions.
